Welcome to Coin Collecting for Beginners. I started this site as my son has watched me collect coins over the years and has finally started to take an interest. Rather than just sharing my knowledge and passion for rare and collectible coins I thought I would start a blog to pass information on to others as well. Hopefully if your just starting out as a beginner in the hobby of coin collecting you will find some of the articles here of value. I'm not a professional coin investor or dealer just a casual hobbiest that enjoys collecting coins for both fun and occasionally a bit of profit. Don't get me wrong there is plenty of money to be made investing in coins if you know what your doing but the beginner coin collectors need to learn before they can earn. Starting out small and growing in knowledge and experience is the only way to become a seasoned coin collector.
